To help citizens tighten their belts, one British firm has launched a network of ATMs that only dispense the smallest possible denomination of paper money. But will the move motivate Britons to save — or spend?

This should come as no surprise.
At the beginning of June, the Bank of England launched a campaign to reinvigorate the 5-pound banknote, so these ATMs fall in line with that strategy.
